A workshop on the New Cosmology exploring the universe as a sacred unfolding story and our role in living its wisdom in everyday life.
Registration coming soonSpringbank Retreat, Kingstree, SC
The universe is a dance of creativity, and each of us is a vital participant in its unfolding. Join cosmologist Stephan Martin and Catherine Anderson for an experiential journey into the living conversation between cosmos and creativity, weaving together leading-edge astronomy, the New Cosmology, contemplative reflection, labyrinth walking, and SoulCollage®.
Inspired by the vision of Thomas Berry and Brian Swimme, we will explore creativity as a fundamental power of the universe, expressed through stars, galaxies, life, imagination, and our own capacity to bring something new into being.
Through facilitated labyrinth walks and intuitive image-making, we will listen for the threads of allurement, emergence, and possibility moving through our lives and consider what it means to participate more consciously in the Great Work of co-creating a compassionate, vibrant, and life-giving world.
No previous artistic or SoulCollage® experience is needed; all supplies are provided.

Weaving the ancient wisdom of Creation Spirituality with the contemporary science of cosmology, we’ll explore the power of ritual and practice to bring a cosmic perspective to everyday life in these emergent times. Individuals, households, and communities will find inspiration, creativity and courage to join the evolutionary dance unfolding, in, through, and as us.
Classes will include group ritual, exploration of new symbols and language, discussion, small group integration, and ideas for personal practice.

Join us as we explore the connections between art, creativity, and cosmos. In this experiential workshop, we’ll explore the cosmic dimension of creativity and our capacity to express the universe’s creative impulse through us in everything we do. Through creative expression, we can open more deeply into the creative heart of life itself, allowing creativity to bring us closer to the wholeness of our deeper self. In this workshop, we’ll introduce Touch Drawing, a simple yet powerful painting process that expresses the creative impulse directly on paper. No prior experience with art is required, so come connect to your inner artist and play!

In this exploration, we’ll engage the cosmological powers—the universal dynamics of allurement, emergence, creativity, synergy, radiance, and even cataclysm—through which the universe has shaped stars, life, consciousness, and our own inner unfolding. Drawing on a Deeptime perspective and Brian Swimme’s work, we’ll discover how these same powers move within us as expressions of the universe’s own subjectivity, calling us to deepen our sensitivity, awaken our creativity, and align our lives with the generative forces that sustain the Whole. As we recognize ourselves as unique portals through which these powers flow, we learn to navigate change with greater trust, cultivate intimacy with the world around us, and participate more consciously in the ongoing creativity of the cosmos.
